Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Statement for Whatcom Clubhouse
At Whatcom Clubhouse, we are committed to fostering a community that embraces diversity, ensures equity, and promotes inclusion. We believe that our strength lies in the collective uniqueness of our members, staff, and supporters.
Diversity: We honor and celebrate the varied backgrounds, life experiences, and perspectives that each individual brings to our Clubhouse. We strive to create an environment where everyone feels valued and respected, regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, religion, or any other aspect of identity.
Equity: We are dedicated to providing fair treatment, access, opportunity, and advancement for all members and staff. We recognize the historical and systemic barriers that have affected marginalized groups and are actively working to dismantle these barriers within our organization.
Inclusion: We cultivate a sense of belonging by ensuring that all members and staff have the opportunity to be heard and to contribute to the decision-making processes. We encourage open dialogue, mutual respect, and the sharing of ideas to drive innovation and growth.
We pledge to uphold these principles in our daily operations, programs, and interactions. By doing so, we aim to empower our members and create a supportive community that thrives on the richness of diversity.
